Networking as a resource in elderly care

The aim is to create network of experts in elderly care between Hamina (Southeast Finland) and Keski-Uusimaa and Paide and Viljandi in Southern Estonia. The Finnish partners gain a frame of reference for their own development work and the Estonian partner aims at a parallel project developing a service model for the elderly home in Paide. Joint training sessions develop customer-oriented methods for elderly care as well as assessment know-how of work performance. A research connected with the training develops methods for empowerment and applying evaluation results in the practical work. Finnish-Estonian co-operation in the local and regional level also contributes to networks within Finland and within Estonia. Target areas: Hamina and Keski-Uusimaa in Southern Finland and cities of Paide and Viljandi in Estonia
