The objectives of the project are the followings: establishing a cross-border network for applied research and training activities in the field of water quality management; carrying out joint research activities in order to improve the quality of drinking water by using solar energy and disseminating the results, by organizing training courses in the area. The target groups are the persons who are directly involved in the activities of the project, stakeholders of the region and inhabitants using the water sources of the territory. The research work carried out will result in surveying the polluting materials in the local water supply systems (e.g. farmers wells), collecting the data in a common database and drawing a map identifying the critical zones. An eco potabilization mini device is constructed which will use solar energy for cleaning the water; it can be used at the spot.
