Network of actors to the management of local actions (RED LOCAL PLAN)

The project was planned to create a network for cooperation and for exchange of experiences and best practices in local development activities based on consensus and the participation of all political, social, and public and private economic entities, working at the local level for a group of specified territories. The network established is made up of operators who perform diagnostics, implement activities, evaluate those activities, and plan the upcoming actions and avenues that are the future of local development in the European Union. Achievements: ✔ Creation of a virtual platform on Internet (www.redlocalplan.net) ✔ Creation of a trans-national cooperation network between the regions to work on the following topics: help local associations, promote the infrastructures for their development, promote the industrial fabric, employment and human resources. ✔ Drafting of a socio-economic impact study on the influence of the different strategies selected from the 12 initial studies (distributed to 1,700 local and regional contacts) ✔ A pilot project concerning the application of geomatics in the socio-economic development of the territory (results disseminated on the project website) ✔ Drafting of a guide for planning local initiatives (distributed in electronic and paper version) ✔ Awareness campaigns and dissemination of the project. Organisation of 5 trans-national meetings and 6 trans-national working days to raise awareness. ✔ Creation of a quality and evaluation system for the project (creation of an evaluation methodology in Spanish and English, a follow-up report and 3 evaluations of the project and the partnership in Spanish and English).
