The project aims to raise the awareness of actors and stakeholders and support the coherent implementation of the lifelong learning strategy and policy in Bulgaria through:• Establishment of a national NETWORK for LIFELONG LEARNING INITIATIVES AND INFORMATION. The network will be based on LIFELONG LEARNING COUNCILS in 28 towns involving all actors – from citizens to policy makers, not only in education, but also in related fields like employment, youth and social policy. • TRAINING OF 56 LIFELONG LEARNING AMBASSADORS who will orchestrate the LL Councils, coordinate the implementation of the lifelong learning initiatives and multiply the developed know-how on local level. • Strengthening the capacity of the local communities for organization and implementation of LL initiatives and their promotion through 6 REGIONAL LIFELONG LEARNING FESTIVALS, which will be organized by the 28 LL Councils. The festivals will present the variety of opportunities available for the citizens and will embrace all levels and modes of learning. Special emphasis will be made on instruments and practices for validation of prior results. • E-COMPENDIUM will be produced with collected successful LL initiatives and projects in the 28 towns. • GUIDE FOR ORGANIZATION OF LIFELONG LEARNING INITAITIVES will be elaborated as a sustainable practical tool based on the lessons learnt, good practices and experience. • Better involvement and commitment of the regional actors: 28 LIFELONG LEARNING FORUMS will take place as platforms for planning lifelong learning festivals on local level in 2013.• NATIONAL CONFERENCE will be conducted in order to introduce policy makers, stakeholders and media with the project outcomes and to raise their awareness about the main challenges for achieving the strategic goals of ET 2020.• A POLICY REPORT will be elaborated with recommendations about further development of the LL policies and making lifelong learning a reality.
