NEPTUNE - Network of Expertise for competence based training in European countries.

This project focuses on the need for people working in SMEs in Central and East European countries to have easy access to cost-effective competence based training. This partnership of training organisations, universities, chambers of commerce, trade unions and employer organisations gathers together expertise based on practical experience available within the partnership that has been developed over a period of nine years. This will be assembled, developed and transferred to companies by practical implementation of competence-based training methods in the workplace, rather than by implementation in national education structures. The project will: - provide EU companies and other interested parties with access to a network of knowledge in implementation of competence-based training models;- create a self sustaining information centre and helpdesk; - improve the work of the partnership through sharing of expertise.
