This project is designed for pupils of the 3rd and 4th year at the Secondary Specialized School and Vocational School in Jindřichuv Hradec studying branches: information technology, economics and business and cook/waiter. It is planned to enable participation of 28 pupils and 4 apprentices in this project in two 2-week flows altogether. Foreign practical training will allow participants to transform theoretical knowledge to practical skills, get acquainted with the environment of a foreign company that differs from Czech, and will allow them to compare the needs and desires of home and foreign clients companies.The content of the practical training will be the placement of candidates to various positions according to their field of study from service at the restaurant facilities, administrative activities in companies to work at computer companies, where they will improve their skills especially in network management and computers maintenance.This practical training will give participants practical work habits, increase their independence and strengthen their confidence, therefore it will contribute to their professional and personal development. Pupils will be motivated to apply knowledge and skills acquired in their study in real situations during their practical training. Participants will also improve their knowledge of English while communicating in the workplace as well as in host families.Pupils can verify their theoretical knowledge gained during classes in practice, where they also get familiar with the real business communication and behaviour. Participants verify their ability to communicate in a foreign language, defend their own arguments and proposals for solving problems in communicating with colleagues in the team during every day of the working week thanks to this internship.The school wants to try ECVET principles that could be applied to similar projects in the future. Methodology and ECVET evaluation system would subsequently be used in teaching technical subjects at school, including practice.With regard to the concept and focus of the whole project, the results will be mainly intangible. Foreign practical training will enable to develop professional and personal potential of participants and will move them to the current labour market requirements. Certificates (Europass mobility), which will be received by the participants and photo and video documentation from the practice training will be tangible outputs. The photo and video documentation along with articles will be published on the Internet and in local media.The school expects that students will be able to compare the work habits of the Czech Republic and Great Britain, and learn from both systems more effective habits. Organization of work in a foreign company can become an inspiration for their further personal and professional development.The pupils will have the chance to learn tolerance and openness to other cultures, autonomy and flexibility in dealing with those situations in the foreign environment. Project participants will get acquainted with the cultural aspects of the country, thus contributing to promoting openness to other cultures. From learning about other cultures they can also gain new knowledge that can help them in their future lives and careers. Participants will deepen their knowledge obtained while studying vocational subjects in the classroom and in practical training for a future career.Participants will learn tolerance, independence, flexibility and ability to make individual decisions. They will be motivated to further studying not only in language but also in their field of study.The project aims to improve the quality of the training of the participants, establish cooperation with partner organizations and last but not least, increase knowledge and skills of English.
