Need education to work
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: Mar 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

“Need education to work(netWORK)” is a 7-day Partnership Building Activity(PBA) that involves partners from EU, SEE and EECA countries aiming to empowering youth workers overcoming youth employment issues in their own countries. During the project 28 youth workers aged 18-35 from 14 countries will share of the best practices of successful countries on youth employment, discover job opportunities accessible for all participant countries, receive input from trainers and experts, do field visits and group discussions that will lead to a creation of a contemporary method that will be used by participants to empower young job seekers to their local communities to find jobs. The project objectives are -To share the experience of youth (un)employability issues of the participating countries and exchange best practice about the topic-To get skills on how to write competitive CV and motivation/cover letter-To get informed about international job opportunities provided by various job finding organizations-To promote volunteering as a connecting bridge for students to become employees.-To design and implement workshops tackling unemployment issues-To inform about the opportunities Erasmus+ gives to youth as a positive input in finding jobs-To create network between youth workers involved in youth (un)employment issuesThe project clearly links to the aim of renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018) for Employment and entrepreneurship; Young people’s integration into the labor market, either as employees or as entrepreneurs, should be supported. While supporting this, the project goes parallel with another field; Youth and the World as it promotes entrepreneurship, employment, education and volunteering opportunities with regions outside of Europe. The project is transnational activity and tackles unemployment in and outside EU.Generally the project also does its contribution to one of the general goals of Europe 2020 strategy; to increase the employment rate of the population aged 20-64 from 69% to 75% by the year 2020. In order to step towards the assigned goals and objectives, the project team considers as best option the implementation of PBA aiming to support learners in the acquisition of learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences) with a view to improving their personal development, their involvement as considerate and active citizens in society and their employability in the European labor market and beyond. That is generally fitting with one of specific objectives of Mobility project in the field of education, training and youth.
