Wszechnica UJ (Jagiellonian University Extension) has been working on the training and counseling market since 2005. Wszechnica UJ builds on the achievements of applied sciences to provide the highest quality training and consulting services. By working with internationally recognized educational institutions active in the field of lifelong learning, Wszechnica UJ promotes and disseminates in Poland valuable, innovative methodologies to support the development of adults. As a result of the development of the new organization’s strategy there was created an action plan to expand into new areas of adult education services mainly based on the methodology so far absent on the Polish market. Therefore, in the European Development Plan there were distinguished the following areas: Area 1: Efficient and effective management of adult education institution. Area 2: Upgrading educational offer and professional competences of trainers and staff of Wszechnica UJ. Area 3: Improving European dimension of Wszechnica’s activities by establishing partnerships and long-term cooperation with European partners to share experiences and bring some of the educational services not yet available for Polish adult learners.Within the project there are planned international mobilities (job shadowing) to 7 of the European institutions specializing in adult education or those whose experience with cross-sectoral cooperation can be used to develop the adult education sector. These mobilities are planned for 15 members of Wszechnica UJ professional staff. Either trainers for adults or managers and board members. The project also plans staff training activities for 4 staff members. Main objectives pursued by the project are: - Developing and improving the quality of services for adults provided by the Wszechnica UJ; - Improving the competence of Wszechnica UJ professional staff (trainers for adults) in the area of new methodologies / tools and Wszechnica UJ administrative staff in areas related to the management of adult education institution; - Increasing the efficiency of the organization; - Expanding portfolio of educational activities of the organization and development of network of international partnerships.Project will be managed by appointed experienced project manager supported by project team. Project team will be responsible for handling organizational, logistic, financial and substantive aspects of the project, including preparation of the participants, implementation, reporting and dissemination of project results.The result of the implementation of the projects will be:- Learning how to more effectively work in the fields of partnerships building in the areas of adult education;- Observation of ways of cooperation with higher education institutions in the UK in the areas of creating curricula for adult education;- Observation of methods of providing advisory services to adults combining professional and personal contexts of development;- Observation of work in Self Determination Theory methodology and improving competence in the field of methods, tools related to the theories of motivation;- Observation of cooperation with non-governmental organizations which leads to building their capacity in the direction of creating learning opportunities for adults.Indirect beneficiary of this application are adult learners participating in courses provided by the applicant, who will have the opportunity to participate in the extended range of educational offer and experience a qualitative change in the services offered so far.The indirect beneficiaries are also other adult educational institutions, which will have an opportunity to see the newly imported methodologies and may include them in their educational offer, as well as institutions such as NGOs and universities, which through-known methods and techniques will be invited to co-operate creating learning opportunities for adults.Project results will be disseminated on the occasion of the activity under the Malopolska Partnership for Continuing Education operating by the Regional Labour Office in Cracow. The project results will also be disseminated through community activities of lifelong learning professionals - trainers, coaches, counselors - professional who can provide direct educational services for adult learners. Further channels of promotion and dissemination of results will be conducted by the Wszechnica UJ social media channels, as well as sharing the results of the project during the presence of the Wszechnica UJ experts at numerous conferences and events. Imported methodologies developed models of cooperation and partnership with international institutions will have a direct impact on the development of the education market in the local, regional - and given the nature of innovative services - national dimension.
