Our school has very peculiar characteristics because its main concern is exclusively focused on the sea environment , so that their professional future will not be restricted to a country or city. In most cases they will have colleagues from different parts of the world, who will have different languages and cultures. Because of this, the learning of the English language, as a means of communication, will be essential. Due to this, the project has the aim of acquisition of elementary communicative skills for the professional future of the students belonging to the CIFP del Mar within the field in which their future work will take place. In this frame, both oral and written comprehension and producing are the most importance. The teachers, as well as the students will be the ones who take this project to good terms. We count on the involvement of the Intern Europe enterprise, as an intermediary company. The aim of this project is the acquisition and improvement of the basic skills of communication in English, as well as the personal and working development. This project will allow them to get in touch with a culture which is different from their own, and get involved with other working environment. The last stage of this project is to increase the possibilities of their future working activities. The students that will participate in this project, are those from the lower level High Diplomas (Grado Medio) belonging to the deck branch. Their activities will be relate with the specific characteristics of this branch. as I have said before, they have to pass an initial evaluation (an essay about the place where their working placement will take place, an interview, everything in English and their academic achievements) and as an essential requirement they will be ready to travel without inconveniences. The activities will be designed within a group of three people in charge of the evaluation of the students. The training period tutor in the school, the tutor in the incoming country and the person in charge in the working placement. The activities will be related to the specific skills of the participants .Weekly reports will be done, as means of control, by forms that have to be fulfilled throughout this period. Both the person in charge and the tutor in the incoming country will produce a monthly report. All of them will be used as a tool for the students final evaluation. We hope the experience will improve, apart from de acquisition of specific skills related to their working field, the students interest and knowledge in the English language, broaden their view of the world, improve their job prospects, and acquired greater maturity and responsibility
