The project aims at increasing vocational mobility of its participants and boosting their opportunities on the labour market, therefore, decreasing the unemployment rate. The trainees will be motivated to learn foreign languages and to overcome language barrier due to the fact that they will have to communicate in English, Portuguese and Italian. Our project will add to students’ personal development, the journey abroad and four weeks of independent functioning at work and at a place of accommodation, learning living conditions in a foreign country, work in multicultural surroundings, making new friends and contacts may all pay off in the future. All the above points will increase self-confidence, life experience and vocational mobility. Our project allows the students to develop European identity, tolerance and open-mindedness. The placement programme prepared by ZS No1, Consue Portugal and Sistema Turismo will enable the students to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to compete on the labour market, such as the ability to organize the promotion campaign of a hotel and restaurant, efficient communication in English, Portuguese and Italian, serving foreign guests, preparation of special events and catering services. The partners from Portugal and Italy will familiarize with tourist offer of our Świętokrzyskie Region. The experience which participants will acquire in Portugal and Italy can increase the quality of catering and accommodation services in our region. Certificates which students will receive during the training can be an asset while looking for a job in the future. The training may be helpful in their self-employment for example in the field of farm tourism. Swietokrzyskie region is one of the poorest and least developed parts of Poland with very high rate of unemployment. It is attractive in terms of nature and culture but poor as regards tourist infrastructure. Future development of the region depends on acquiring high-qualified staff in the field of hotel and restaurant services and marketing.Giving young people from this region opportunity to gain new competences and become more self-confident will open new work possibilities for them both in their home country and abroad.
