"Nauka bez granic"
Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project „Learning without borders” proves that one can learn at all ages, in various places, in different styles and using different tools. Experience, knowledge, competence and attitudes that we gain can influence our personal development and the development of people around us. In order to give our students the best conditions for education and development, we invest in the holistic training of our teachers. We are sure that the most important capital is human capital. Because of the constantly increasing demands on the teachers, their continuous education is the only way to fulfill the tasks of nowadays schooling system and also it is the guarantee that they will meet the expectations of school’s clients: students and parents. The project includes 15 mobilities of teachers. They will make a 5-day visit in an Italian school (job shadowing) and they will attend two 5-day trainings, one concerning the use of new technologies with young learners and the other concerning working with special needs students. The project is designed for the primary and nursery school at all ages and of different subjects and specializations, including special needs teachers. The subjects of our teachers’ professional development selected from the “Learning without borders” project derive directly from the school’s pedagogical supervision. Improving the competence and experience of the teachers will contribute to improving the quality of school work. Thanks to the project we want to better support the development of our students, including special needs ones because they all work together in our classes and nursery groups. Also, we want to organize our classes in a professional and effective way in order to improve the students’ impaired functions. Finally, we want to equalize all students’ educational opportunities giving them better chance for success in the future. The project is also designed for the teachers who want to improve their ability to use modern computer technologies. We intend to expand their knowledge about the software that can be used with specially gifted students and special needs students, the benefits of e-Learning so they will be convinced that the proper use of modern technology can significantly contribute to the students’ motivation to learn. Through the implementation of knowledge and skills acquired during the training "eLearning Made Fun: Quizzes & Games", learning at our school can become the source of good fun, joy and satisfaction and not only be a tedious process of education. One of the main objectives of the project is improving the effectiveness of key skills including foreign language skills. Our teachers will observe the work of the partner school in Turin, which has been successful in teaching foreign languages. Thanks to this collaboration the teachers will have a chance to observe CLIL classes - content and language integrated learning. In an Italian school, we are also going to observe the classes based on music therapy and other methods using fine arts. Through the implementation of new pedagogical thought and methods and forms of work, the quality of our school’s work will obtain a higher level, not only during the project’s realization, but also in the future. Moreover, the project will contribute to the promotion of our school’s work in the local community and to better perception of the institution by its clients and decision makers.
