nauczyciel jako twórca międzynarodowego wymiaru edukacji w Zespole Szkół nr 4 w Tychach
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Project is designed for secondary and middle-school teachers of Zespol Szkół 4 in Tychy. It will be carried out in two group mobility modes and three individual mobility mode, aiming at enhancing teachers’ linguistic skill and promoting its usage in dealing with foreign partners. During the first group mobility, the teachers will participate in an English language course in Plymouth to experience intense learning through "immersion" in the language and cultural environment, during self-study sessions. The second group mobility mode will deal with teaching methods for children with special educational needs, as a result of autism, Asperger syndrome or central hearing loss. This aspect is particularly important as more and more pupils require assistance due to the dysfunctions mentioned above, both in the integrative and the open-access division of our school complex. Our teachers face the need to compile adequate adjustments in terms of the content being taught, applied teaching methods and creating required teaching environment. It is of paramount importance for the teacher to be able to recognise and understand the dysfunctional students’ behaviour patterns, as well as determine and develop their assets. Training on this subject will be delivered by the Europroyectos Erasmus Plus S.L. in Cordoba, Spain. An individual mobility participant, a Polish language and Cultural Studies teacher, will improve her linguistic competence by taking part in a French language course authorized by the Aliance Francaise in Saint-Malo, France. A German language and an English language teacher will attend a methodology course organized by, respectively: the KulturKontakt Austria in Vien, Austria and the Merganser Consulting LTD in Bath, England. To avoid disruption of the school lesson plan, all trainings described will be held during either summer or winter school breaks, Completing the project will ensure the growth in number of teachers who will become independent English language users. Acquired competences will enter the school strategic plan that includes broadening international cooperation in personnel mobility projects and future strategic projects.
