Project Nature Sports will be conducted from 1 August 2014 till 12 January 2014 while the main project activities will be implemented from 6 August 2014 till 16 August 2014 in Broćanac in natural surroundings from Horse Association Natura near city of Split. For the purposes of the project we opened a Facebook group as a place where the project participants could actively create topics for workshops and plan activities to be implemented. During the project activities, diverse workshops on the acquisition of healthy life habits and a healthy diet will be conducted. The youth will also develop skills related to water sports, horseback riding, shooting, archery, rafting, grebbening, fitness, volleyball, slackline and original rural sports. Projects participants will be introduced to the cultural sights of Omiš and Split, and will also visit the cave Vranjača. Project Nature Sport aims to train 50 young people from Romania and Croatia (members of OIP Posejdon and Society Scout Romania) 13-25 years of age as promoters of healthy lifestyles and healthy nutrition. During the implementation of the activities many informal methods of education will be used such as: role play, brainstorming, debate, which will help raise awareness of young people about topics such as inclusion, acceptance, participation, empathy, support. Projects participants will master the transversal skills such as organizational skills and skills necessary for conduction and implementation of various projects and initiatives, sense of initiative, teamwork, problem solving, planning, prepardness to respond in unpredicted situations. This project will strengthen the participants as people and will raise their self-esteem, develop critical thinking and encourage them to become proactive in their organizations and the local community through the implementation of regular yearly Scout programs conducted by their organizations. Furthermore, the projects activities will have a positive impact on exploring cultural diversities, developing solidarity and promoting the fundamental values of the EU. Participants will develop educational materials: 1000 leaflets, a video, a power point presentation, logo of the project, t-shirts. All listed materials will be used in the phase of implementation of sports workshops upon returning to the local communities as well as in the phase of dissemination of the projects results according to the jointly determined dissemination plan.
