National Meeting "Youth volunteering"

National Meeting "Youth volunteering" aims to promote volunteering among policy makers and society in Bulgaria, using the opportunity that 2011 was declared Year of Volunteering. As a form of participation, volunteering is a topic that has its needs identified by youth organizations. On the other hand, the will of the institutions and society to encourage the growth of youth volunteering in our country has not been identified. Young leaders from all across the country will meet within 4 days for 4th consecutive year in Varna, will discuss and propose how to persuade institutions and society that volunteering is particularly useful form of involving young people in socially useful activities that they can acquire skills, knowledge and competencies to be of benefit in the future. To present good practices of other countries, the project will also include representatives of the Bulgarian government, the European Commission, National Youth Councils of other countries in Europe and members of the newly formed panel "volunteering" to the European Youth Forum. Once again a National youth exhibition will be held. Along with the implementation of the National Meeting a Festival of unprofessional youth creativity will be held, which will correspond with the project activities.
