The project will focus on the ways in which the European Union and the EU has been narrated by political actors. It will centre primarily on teaching, research and dissemination activities that look at the role of narratives, both written and visual, have looked to provide cognitive and normative maps for European citizens. The central activities will be political science courses on the political symbols and narrative in the EU. These will be supplemented by seminars and conferences which will bring together students and experts from a range of disciplines such as literary studies, anthropology, history and sociology.
