Start date: Aug 23, 2016, End date: Aug 22, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The EU has placed an important emphasis on energy efficient solutions, particularly on the use of solar energy. One of the main goals of this project is to develop our vocational training on the area of building engineering concerning this field. We would like our students to acquire and get acquainted with the most advanced solutions of the use of solar energy in the framework of a 3-week-internship abroad, strengthening the professional profile of the building engineering in our institution.According to our plans, the mobilities will be organized in Barcelos, Portugal and in Poznan, Poland. Thanks to this fact, our students will be able to gain professional experiences and be familiar with the latest technologies in the field of solar energy in two different regions of Europe. Both countries have similar economic potentials, but due to their geographical location, they place emphasis on other technicalities regarding the use of solar energy. While Poland is making similar efforts as Hungary in order to develop this professional field, thanks to the sunny hours, Portugal prefers other technical processes. We would like to achieve our mobilities by the Portugal organization called Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade, which as hosting organization, is able to select the most appropriate companies and vocational institutes for the internship of the students via its diverse professional network and experiences in Erasmus+ projects. According to our plans, we would like our students to implement their internships in both partner countries from 17th September to 8th October 2016 when 11 students and 2 accompanying are going to Portugal and Poland. The most relevant short-term aim of the project is the installation and adjustment of a solar energy system at the workshop for the vocational training of our school, which, as visual aid, could be fitted in the practical and theoretical syllabus. The whole process of the proposed project will be issued at the local media including the local newspaper and TV channel, and it will be presented in the most standard professional magazines, on the Facebook profile and the webpage of the school as well. The project is of significant importance because of the long-term goals as well. As a result of mobilities, our students become committed to their profession, there will be a need for quality of work, which results can contribute to the improvement of the profile of the institution. The most relevant impact of the project is promoting environmental awareness encouraging students to become more responsible citizens of the European Union and to establish a quality lifestyle. This project can contribute to the dissemination of modern technologies which are able to serve the use of solar energy. The partnership encourages not only our country but also the partners to remain true to the principles and priorities of the European Union on international level. The partnership develops the students' and teachers' intercultural and key competences: communication in foreign languages including the profession-specific language. As a result of the project, the social/civic competences, the sense of initiative/entrepreneurship, the professional awareness and expression will be strengthened. The activities enable both students and teachers to acquaint other working methods which can be compared to the standard ones. Moreover, students will be more familiar with the democratic social values, with the European and national traditions. Overall, the personalities of young people can be structured with a view to open their mind, which can help them to become responsible members of the European Union.
