I-METHODOLOGYIn 2013 EOSE organised a major review with its Members and agreed a new Development Plan. The work programme 2014 has been designed to implement this Plan and to:- Provide EOSE with an operational grant to support the delivery of an ambitious programme of activity that will expand its network of members/contacts, promote its mission and enhance its capacity and effectiveness in its role as a lead expert organisation supporting the dissemination/implementation of EU education and employment policy initiatives in the sector;- Build expertise and capacity of EOSE members on EU policy, funded opportunities and the 7 Step Model to raise the profile and improve the sustainability and effectiveness of their activity at national level;- Enable EOSE to provide leadership for the sector as it strives to modernise its VET to improve the skills of the workforce;- Provide a focus for the development of innovative activities and transnational projects towards the implementation of EU education and employment policy in the sector.The programme involves all EOSE members, supporting them to be agents of change, facilitating a dialogue between employment, education and government to ensure the implementation of EQF embraces the sector and enables it to meet its potential.II-TARGET GROUPSThe internal target group will be EOSE members who will be trained and supported to carry out national activities to lead to change and the modernisation of current education and training systems. EOSE is composed of organisations such as Ministries, Olympic Committees, Social Partners and Training Providers/Universities.External target groups for 2014:1) EU level- Policy/Decision Makers (e.g EC, CEDEFOP)- Sport Federations- Sport Networks2) National level- Government- National Qualifications Authorities- Sport Movement (e.g Federations, Olympic Committee)- Training Providers/Universities- Social Partners- Employees- StudentsIII-PLANNED ACTIVITIESThe planned activities can be classified in 5 categories:>STATUTORY ACTIVITIES / GOVERNANCEMaintain high standard governance of statutory and management activities>CAPACITY BUILDING FOR MEMBERSExpand/enlarge the current membershipDevelop/reinforce the spirit of cooperationEnhance level of expertise on EU policies / 7 Step ModelEncourage them to act as ambassador*Train them on funding opportunities>AWARENESS RAISING, COMMUNICATION AND PROMOTIONReinforce EOSE online presencePublish the first EOSE bookSpread the word and maximise networking opportunitiesPromote the 7 step model>DESK RESEARCH AND REVIEWReview main characteristics/realities of national sport and education systems>INNOVATION FOR THE SPORT EDUCATION AND TRAINING SYSTEMPromote/support the concept of learning mobility in sportPilot an innovative dual career training approach for high level athletes>SUSTAINABILITY AND CONTINUITYIdentify main challenges and highlight EOSE priorities for the futureThe expected results will reinforce the recognition, capacity and effectiveness of EOSE, provide training and technical support to help sport to use a common approach, modernise its education systems aligned with the needs of the labour market, engage with EU policies and other sectors.* From the success of VSPORT+ (previous EU project), the concept of National Ambassador will be further used to enhance the capacity of EOSE members to carry out dissemination and exploitation activities in their countries.
