2OM project mainly aims to design decision making helping tools, dedicated to support public policy launched regardind offshore wind farms, including their life cycles. This project aims to provide a common strategic frame to decision-makers in terms of offshore investments. Achievements: There are several offshore wind farms on the UK side of the Channel, and similar sites are planned on the French side. 5 Interreg projects are addressing this issue in a multi-disciplinary way. 2OM is identifying the impact of offshore wind-farm maintenance operations on maritime activities (navigation and safety). A study into the life cycle, dismantling and recycling of offshore wind turbines is under way to devise decision-support tools for public logistics stakeholders.
