We would like to offer an opportunity for a volunteer to be part of Community Theatre projects. We are focusing on themes like subcultures and European citizenship in general. The EVS project is about visual communication, on stage as well as subsequent design of web, posters and leaflets. Within this framework the volunteers are allowed to put an emphasis at one thing more than another. The learning process is all about Non Formal as well as Informal methods. The project is quite long-term and is planned for 10 month. Our organization is based at a Folk High School in Helsingborg. The School setting provides the volunteer with board and lodging at a campus where almost 75 other young people are boarded. This opens up for great opportunities for language studies and social activities. We will produce a Youth Pass according to the EU standards. Theatre Arken is a local chapter of the Amateur Theatre Association of ATR and Riksteatern. Theatre Arken organizes theater in Helsingborg region for all age groups. We have about 70 members. We also organize performances for the theater course at Sundsgårdens Folkhögskola and has a close cooperation with the school. This means that we have the advantages of joint use of both premises and technical equipment. Our organization has among other things, engaged in long-term training and exchanges with Belarus and Egypt funded by SIDA / Forum Syd. We have implemented a theater project under the EU Socrates Programe in England and Spain where we explored the theater's learning capacity. In the EU youth program we have organized three projects, but has taken part in many a year for several years . We cooperate with the educational association SENSUS. We have made several theater projects that built on inter cultural collaboration particularly with muslims. We have great motivation to contribute to a good society where peaceful relations can be built. Community theater is a tool to achieve this.
