Multi-Lingual Learning And teaching With The Use Of Modern Media Technology Content and Langage Integrated Learning Course (ADC College, London) + Tap-Swipe-Pinch Course, Benalmadena, Spain.
Start date: Aug 11, 2014, End date: Aug 10, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Content and Language Integrated Learning is as well as the use of tablets and other digital mobile devices in teaching increasingly popular in Europe as an efficient way of combining language and subject learning weather at primary, secondary or adult level. it can help motivate students to learn a language through their interest in a specific subject, or make a subject more applealing by learning a language or using a tablet in the course of learning and aquiering new knowledge. However, for many subject teachers who would like to, or have to teach CLIL and or use tablets in their teachings, getting started can be a confusing and daunting prospect, while more experienced teachers may also find it difficult to generate materials and activities. Both courses introduce new teachers to CLIL and use ITC/tablets in a clear way which avoids unnecessary jargon, while also giving innovative and practical activities that even more experienced teachers will find valuable. Further support is given by showing participants resources which can be used to find and generate material for their specific needs and subjects, access to an exclusive forum where participants can keep in touch and share materials, as well as being able to share personal experiences of CLIL and use of ITC/tablets during teachingsessions. Concerning the CLIL course, ADC College provides language developmen lessons aimed at increasing the level and language awareness of teachers, as well as 20 minutes tutorials were teachers can discuss their specific need and interests an a one-to-one basis. ADC College CLIL courses include one or two sessions of teaching practice, where participants can try out new ideas in a safe environment. We will send four staff members to two different courses, two and two, one group to London and the other to Spain. The programmes/courses will give us new insight and knowledge, and the posibility to use new teaching methods and tools which over long term will improve our teaching and our skills as a whole and open our school up to a more international/European dimension in form of projects and cooperation with schools across Europe.
