Mozgasd meg a nyelvtudásod! A sport és a nyelvismeret szerepe az intézményi fejlesztésben
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school’s third Erasmus+ Programme KA1 project was created owning to the long-term institutional needs to realise the internalisation of our teachers, to develop their competences in a foreign language and to make them adopt a more tolerant and open attitude. Furthermore, the project fits into the long-term institutional strategy to modernise the educational work in our school and to support the professional development of our staff. The most important aim of this project is to popularise the spirit of sport among our students, particularly the recreational and free time sport activities in order to prevent a bigger rate of early school leavers in our school and to integrate new, alternative types of exercise in the PE lessons, which helps to beat the phenomenon that the students are overloaded with school work and reduces stress. The other purpose of the project is to strengthen the efficiency of the teaching of the second foreign languages available in our school, which will result in developing a greater demand in our students to acquire two foreign languages and will prepare them, thanks to the knowledge of two European languages, to become more active and responsible citizens of our country and Europe. The third relevant aim is that our teachers should accept the learning outcomes approach and to raise their awareness about career strategy. The language and the methodological courses in English, German, Italian and French and the linguistic and professional preparations preceding the mobilities will support the successful realisation of the project objectives. In the post-mobility phase, on the one hand, the knowledge and experience, achieved in the in-service teacher training and language courses, will be integrated in the lessons. On the other hand, as a result of the dissemination activities, the other teachers will also be encouraged to apply for Erasmus+ grants in the future, which will guarantee that our long term institutional objectives are reached. Consequently, after our one-year project the teachers' language and professional competences will be more advanced. Moreover, their capacity will grow due to the more beneficial and dynamic lessons. Thus they will be able to make use of this capacity surplus in non-formal educational activities such as the international students exchange programmes or the extra curricular sport activities. To sum up, this project will help to develop the teachers' sensibility to multiculturalism as a consequence of learning more about the European social tendencies and observing the international good practices. All this will eventually support the effective preparation for the education of the immigrants.
