MOVING TO INCLUSION!

This EVS project aims to promote equal opportunities, social and labour inclusion and the improvement of the quality of life of people with disability due to mental illness through carrying out of different activities by volunteers from Europe and Latin America. The tasks of the volunteers are structured in one of two locations: Toro (Zamora, Spain) and Zamora (Zamora, Spain). In Toro, volunteers’ tasks will consist in helping to organise and carry out educational and leisure activities such as a workshops about communication and social skills, visual arts, etc. and offer support during the daily activities to the Residents of the Foundation’s Residential Care Center and Daily Care Center. In Zamora, volunteers will support users of the Foundation's Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center and Labour Rehabilitation Center and they will carry out educational activities which will be always according with volunteers’ interests. As the volunteers will collaborate together and live together, this project promotes intercultural dialogue, and values such as cooperation, tolerance, coexistence, and awareness of the importance of active participation in the construction of a more enriched Europe. This project plans to receive eight volunteers from different European, Eastern Europe and Caucasus and Latin American countries during a service period of twelve months, starting between 1st of March and 31st of July 2012 and finishing between 29th of February and 30th of June 2013.
