BHAK/BHAS Perg has successfully been using CLIL in a significant range of subjects for many years now. In order to cope with an increasing internationalisation and globalisation and to offer high quality in terms of language competence two teachers teaching business subjects respectively history and social competence intend to improve their knowledge of English by attending courses on general English in Cambridge respectively London.. Thus they also contribute their share to a permanent improvement process. The objective of the project entiteld " Increase in motivation of pupils in the English speaking classroom" is the extension of CLIL at our school, but ideally also sustainability in the field of language competence of CLIL teachers. The benefit for our school is on the hand an increase in quality and on the other hand a rise in student-motivation due to teachers who are keen on further education thus serving as perfect examples for students. Furthermore the exchange of experience as well as teaching material among the participants is intended. Another long-term goal is the creation of strategic partnerships between schools. A first step in this direction is to get in touch with other European schools via email (e-twinning).
