MOSAIK.Quijote
Start date: Oct 3, 2016, End date: Oct 2, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

MOSAIK.Quijote is an intercultural project formed by young Europeans from different schools: Conservatorio Oficial de Música "Hermanos Berzosa" (Cáceres, Spain), Musikschule (Lüneburg, Germany), Conservatoire Henri Dutilleux (Clamart, France) and Hammarö Kulturskola (Hammarö, Sweden). In this project, eleven students will be chosen from each school to put together a team. Through different artistic disciplines such as Dance, Music and Performing and Visual Arts, they will create, carry out and perform together a project based on "The Quixote" from Miguel de Cervantes. An international team of teachers from all four schools will supervise and guide the students in the analysis and understanding of the Cervantes' text. During the first seven months, the teachers will organise workshops in order to create the different scenes of the performance. The main aims of the project are:- To assess the importance of the different disciplines as languages or as means of cultural expression between nations and people.- To share artistic experiences while working with colleagues from other countries in order to strengthen the European integration and promote European values, as well as the study and dissemination of our cultural heritage.- To learn about educational systems and training in every discipline. In May 2017, all four teams will meet for one week in Cáceres, Spain. Scenes will be put together in order to complete the performance, which will take place at the Gran Teatro in Cáceres. The project will get to an end with the evaluation of the work done and the publishing of every artistic material produced by MOSAIK.Quijote.
