The goal of the project „Students' professional practice in EU countries” was to improve professional practical skills as well as to develop communication skills in foreign languages, enterprise, social and intercultural competences of students studying programs for agricultural production business employee, machinery maintenance worker, and car mechanic. The project participants were: 38 first or second training year students from initial vocational training. The group of participants was divided as follows: 16 students from the program for agricultural production business employees, 20 students from the program for machinery maintenance workers and 2 students from the program for car mechanics. All participants performed training practices lasting for four weeks in the summer and autumn of 2015: 20 students went for training to Austria, 12 to Germany and 6 to Poland. During the mobility all participants were trained in business companies: future agriculturists in agriculture; car mechanics in auto repairing companies; machinery maintenance workers in agricultural machinery and vehicles repair companies. The following professional skills were improved: - students of program for agricultural production business employees gained practical skills in taking care of cattle (cows) on the farm, working on farm, milking cows, carrying out an initial milk preparation, working with some of the self-propelled agricultural machines and maintaining them. - Students of program for machinery maintenance workers gained practical skills in performing maintenance for some agricultural machinery, repairing agriculture machinery components and mechanisms. - Students of program for car mechanics gained practical skills in analyzing faults of car mechanisms, evaluating the technical condition of the car, repairing some of the machinery components and mechanisms. Participation in mobility improved the following key competences of participants: communication in foreign language, enterprise, social and intercultural. The participants of mobility received certificates of receiving institutions, Europass mobility document, and they were evaluated by marks, which were included into the assessment of practical training of vocational subjects and participants' achievements were evaluated by using ECVET (in Austria, it is the program for agricultural production business employees). After graduating school the participants of the project will experience direct social and economic impact; it is expected that they will actively join in Lithuanian or any other EU country's labour market, and some of them will set up a private business. The future working career of project participants will contribute to the growth of Lithuanian and EU economics.
