Modernizáció a jövő iskolájáért
Start date: Oct 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The backbone of our school developmental plan, with international cooperation, is the progress of our secondary grammar school , especially in the areas of Languages and Natural Sciences which goes hand in hand with a change in school administrative attitudes. Starting from these needs, it is a highlighted goal to build international connections, develop the knowledge and professional competence of our teaching staff, update our work and develop our students? skills and competence. We plan to realize the above goals with three short-term 10 day-mobility activities. (Training for institutional leaders from EU countries, Content-based foreign language teaching in Natural Sciences, and Using Technology for teaching English). These activities would significantly add to the following developmental problems. - Curriculum modernization, taking into mind the European dimension - International networking - Development of scientific skills and competence - Methodological renewal - School administration modernization - IT usage in English teaching - Introduction of content-based language teaching - Strengthening of teacher and student competence (foreign language, IT, social and cultural - Greater variety and motivation in pedagogical organization and evaluation The school administration, with the work-community leaders, chose three teachers to take part in the mobility activities based on who was thought would be able to best preform in the given program. Taking their professional background into consideration, the participants hold a specific knowledge in the required areas (Sciences, Languages, school administration), upon which new knowledge and skills may be built and with which they could later cooperate internationally and take part in further innovations. The participants would all take part in such mobility activities within the International Study Programme where there are interactive workshops connected with their own area of knowledge. Taking part in such would give them the opportunity to gain new knowledge and strengthen their skills. The participation of our colleagues in the mobility activities would result in an increase in our institution?s standard of education, as they can find good practices for the developmental tasks our teaching staff have decided upon. Our school?s competitiveness would greatly be increased, our acceptance would be strengthened all-round with such creative adaptations. It would also give our teaching work a greater efficiency and productivity in helping our students prepare for a multicultural and multi-lingual Europe. In addition to all this, the project would strengthen the professional knowledge and competence of our staff. Finally, the long- and short-term effects of this project, its productivity would be assessed. The set and the reached goals would be compared with the results given in feedback, in light of which we hope we can start a new project with new development goal and with even more participants. In summary, the gained experience would give our school an environment filled with new tasks and challenges in which both teachers and students will find professional and personal development in accordance to European standards.
