The realization of the project will help to address the needs of the beneficiaries and to ensure a positive impact on the life of the residents in the CBR.The rehabilitation of the technical infrastructure will provide accessibility, mobility and clean environment for the business and the people and conditions for a fast movement in the city of the heavy trucks in the zone,it will ease the traffic in Kocani.The improvement of the local environmental conditions will help achieving an unpolluted environment and is a prerequisite to increase the attractiveness of the CBR,which will have a direct effect on the tourism industry,on its future expansion and utilization of existing potential.Increasing the competitiveness of the CBR will provide the necessary investments and business opportunities.Conducting the business forums will strengthen economic contacts and exchange of experiences and best practices in various areas of the economic development of both municipalities. Achievements: • Created appropriate opportunities for socio-economic development by improving the physical environment in the municipalities of Kochani and Rila; • Improved accessibility and mobility in the cross-border region through rehabilitation of the Central city area in the Municipality of Rila and the technical infrastructure of the Industrial zone in the Municipality of Kochani;• Reconstructed Central city area and ennoblement green spaces in the central city area - the town of Rila. Approximately 8000 sq.m. of the physical environment have been improved;• Rehabilitated part of the infrastructure in the industrial Zone of Kocani. Approximately 4 ha of the technical infrastructure and its adjoining territory have been modernized; • The negative effects on the environment have been limited;• Carried out two business forums in the municipalities of Rila and Kocani. Contacts and cooperations have been created;• Distributed informational packages and bilingual booklets among the local community.
