The promoter 9 of this project is Zespol Szkol Ponadgimnazjalnych Nr 3 im. Stanislawa Staszica, from Wloszczowa, state secondary vocational school, which educates young people to be future hoteliers and the organisator of the catering business. The foreign partners is ADC College from Harrow in Great Britain. The company conducts a selection of appropriate partners for Leonardo da Vinci programme.
(IVT,VEPRO,PLM). ADC College is dealing with international partnership projects within European countries.
The group of beneficiaries consists of the students from the secondary Technical school of the Technical of IT & Technical of the organization of the catering business. Thin project is to gain and to external professional qualifications, comparing theoretical knowledge to practice; improving the quality of educational process in our school & therefore making our graduates more valuable and attractive to difficult labour market. The strong emphasis has been put at improving the practical aspect of education, learning resourcefulness and in this case the ability and willingness for self-employment and teamwork.
According to the project we are going to send two groups of 16 beneficiaries each for a two week experience placement in Great Britain. The first group would go in the spring 2015, and the second group would go in the autumn 2015. The apprenticeships will consist of two parts: workshop classies & visits in food processing companies of a various kind. Our students would have chance to observe, assist and do their tasks with English team and supervisors assigned by the Harrow College. The participant will come with IT, gastronomy & catering.
Undoubtedly, the additional benefits include language skills improvement, getting to know the British customs & culture, as well as making new contacts. Observations of the participating teachers will be beneficial for school, as some of the innovations could be transferred into the home environment.
