Mobilnost zaposlenih v Zavodu Znanje Postojna
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project is aimed at the professional training for staff working in adult education in the organisation Zavod Znanje Postojna (Knowledge centre Postojna) in Slovenia, on the basis of international experience and getting acquainted with foreign adult education systems through seeing good practice. The organisation wishes to maintain a long tradition of quality adult education and elevate it with modern approaches, which are effective in the European environment. The project consists of four complementary activities, which represent the basis for the functioning of our organisation and which ensure the implementation of the strategic framework of the Education and Training 2020 and primarily ensue the concept of lifelong learning: - Activity 1: motivation of adults for learning, and education and the fight against failure in education; - Activity 2: promotion of the use of ICT in adult education and development of digital literacy competence; - Activity 3: validation and recognition of non-formal and informal learning and evaluation of key competences; - Activity 4: Innovative approaches in adult education and intergenerational cooperation. Professional mobility will be attended by four co-workers, namely those within the organisation, who are responsible for a particular field and have relevant theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field. Their professional competences and achievements for each activity are listed in detail in the project application form. Each of the participants will undergo the mobility in a different EU Member State, which will increase the synergistic effect of the project as the organisation will gain the necessary framework for understanding four different national adult education systems in the European environment, the ability to compare and thus a clearer review on the effective trends in adult education. Since the organisation has a well- developed network of professional and strategic partners on a regional scale, and regular contacts with national professional services for the development of adult education (especially Slovenian Institute for Adult Education), these insights will benefit other organisations, which deal with educational and counselling activities for adults, in the local community and at the national level. Effective networking will also be the basis for dissemination activities, because the acquisition and effects of the project, which will contribute to greater inclusion of adults in the local environment in the form of formal and non-formal education, are planned to be presented on all three mentioned levels and consequently actively influence the expansion of various forms of lifelong learning and reducing the number of adults with low achievements. The specific objectives are presented in detail according to the activities in the application form, but on the scale of the entire project, they can be summarized as follows: - Familiarising each mobility participant with the national system of adult education in the host country and accordingly the systemic placement of her field of work (activity) in this system, - Promoting integration between various national and EU tools for obtaining and validating non-formal knowledge and qualifications, - Seeing the examples of good practices for each of the four activities, - Familiarising with effective motivational strategies for areas in each of the four activities, - Familiarising with effective methods, tools and approaches for each of the four activities that are in use in the European space, - Understanding networking roles (at local, national and European level) for the effective management of each of the four activities, - Understanding quality assurance mechanisms in each of the four activities, - Communication skills of employees in different environments with different target groups, - Multilingual staff. By implementing the above objectives, we expect effects that are presented in detail according to each activity in the application form, but on the scale of the entire project, they can be summarised as follows: - Exchange of good practices at the international level within all four activities, - Understanding four different European adult education systems, their approaches and methods will improve the development policies of our organisation and further adapt our development strategy according to European trends in adult education, - Incorporating new effective motivational strategies in the specific area of the four activities, by which we will synergistically (operating in different areas at the same time) contribute to the reduction of the number of adults with low achievements, - Understanding effective European mechanisms in each activity will enable the adaptation of the existing ones and thereby improve the quality of services and increase access to various forms of lifelong learning, - Development of social, linguistic and digital competences of the staff, - Greater involvemen
