Summary of the projectThe "Mobility and experience - new forest knowledge " project prepared within the framework of the ERASMUS + " the mobility of students and staff in vocational education" prepared by the School of Forestry in Zagnańsk, as part of the planned cooperation with the School of Forestry LOCAL PUBLIC ETABLISSEMENT DU LOIRET in France. The aim of the project is to learn the principles of economy and forest management education in France, to learn the principles of organizing and conducting practical training, changes in the system of education in our school, improving the quality of education and increase the competitiveness of the schools in the education field. Students and teachers will receive knowledge about the organization and differences in forest administration institutions in France. They will learn the electronic management of public and private forests.The project participants are the students and the teachers of vocational subjects from our school.The group of participants will be selected from the students of grade II (currently the grade I and group of students from enrolment for the school in year 2015/16). Students at our school in the majority come from the rural areas and they are often in a difficult finatial situation. Some students still have some difficulties in learning. Therefore it is extremely important to enrich learning opportunities for those students through the additional training as well as improving language skills and thus increase their employability.Teachers involved in the project are teaching vocational subjects they are the specialists in various branches of forest management and in foreign languages. For the staff there will be two seven days trips in the school year 2015/2016 and 2016/2017.The project involves two types of activities. For students there are activities in forestry school in Bellegarde and for teachers staff training (job shadowing). Youth trip is planned in the autumn in the context of professional practice of cycle approach to vocational education. The students trip will be preceded by an intensive language course.Classes methodology for students will be determined together with the teachers of vocational subjects in France, but the prior will be an educational project for the students which also will be a form of supervision over the implementation to the students in the classroom.The project participants will improve their language skills, learn how to use information technology in forestry and get to know the range of forest mechanization. It will also expand their interpersonal skills, help to learn about the cultural differences and customs. Teachers will improve their workshops. They will prepare recommendations for vocational education which after the conformation with the committee of professional training and teaching staff can be implemented in our school. This will result in the improvement of methods of teaching in vocational subjects and in better organization of apprenticeship. In the long-time, the school will also improve the education offer training in the market. Forest School in Zagnańsk plans to continue the cooperation with the Agricultural Vocational Centre of Bellegarde.
