Mobilność - europejska droga do nowoczesnej szkoły
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Maciej Rataj School Complex is situated in the town of Goscino, Zachodnopmpmorskie Province, Poland. In this school year there are 304 students and 45 teachers. The school specializes in military, police boarder and fire fighter classes. The school implements national projects and has hardly any international experience. In the future, we would like to take part in a project involving every student and teacher of our school. Our potential bases on capable staff and enthusiastic students. Our participation in the Erasmus plus is a great chance to make a full use of our potential, to satisfy some of the school's need and to pave its future development. Via 'Mobilnosc - europejska droga do nowoczesnej szkoły' Erasmus plus we wish to improve teaching skills of our teachers (especially as far as communication in English is concerned), upgrade our curricula and adjust them to the needs and skills of our students. What is more, we wish to promote both language and cultural diversity. Achievement of the defined objectives shall highlight the European profile of our school. All the objectives mentioned above are identical to areas that require improvement. These were defined by the board of teachers. Our participation in the project shall vitally improve the general situation and the courses chosen by the participants will definitely facilitate achieving the defined objectives. Seven teachers will take part in the project: two English teacher, a biologist, a chemist, a geographer and an IT and PE teacher. The selected group of teachers gets actively involved in a wide variety of school and non school initiatives. These teachers are capable of sharing their knowledge and experience with others and are able to realize educational initiatives together. Our English teachers will take part in a course of applied language teaching methodology and a language course. In consequence, in the future they will run even more interesting, professional, innovative and effective classes. Their commitment and experience will surely be reflected in students' increased motivation and far better exam results. When making their choices, the teachers were paying particular attention to widely understood multimedia technologies. Teachers specializing in fields other than language teaching decided to go for a comprehensive English course which will obviously make them quite independent in their work towards other projects related to the area of their specialization. Our school wishes to devote to the new exciting field of endeavor relating to the international cooperation which will emphasize a European character of our school and hugely promote European values such as language and cultural diversity among our students. The knowledge and experience we will have gained shall be featured in the school code in the school's development strategy and will be used to design our innovative curricula for all subjects. Not only will the school itself benefit from the project but also numerous outside organizations can enjoy our experiences (local community, local schools, NKJO teachers and students).Achieving our goals mentioned above will make our school more European, and far more aware of basic European values of tolerance and openness to diversity and multicultural society in our everyday professional lives for the profit of both our students and local community.
