The participation in the project „Mobile professionals from Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych of Franciszek Ratajczak in Kościan – active participants of the European labor market” will result in gaining additional vocational skills and improving foreign language comunication by the participants of the project. It will cause raising of their professional qualifications and mobility which facilitate their entry into the labor market. One of the aims of the project is to promote tolerance, and openess to other languages and cultures. The project also involves departures of three groups of students to vocational trainings to Germany and Italy. The traininigs will concern improving their theoretical and practical professional knowledge. The project objectives The main objectives of the project are: - developing students’ basic and transversal skills - encouraging students to continuing education, - providing the students with skills required on the labor market- prevent the phenomenon of too early school leaving, - strengthening the European dimension of the school- promotion of tolerance and openess to diversity. The project group The following students will be the participants of the project: -20 students from the 2nd and the 3rd class of technical construction school. The students will be trained in The Vocational Advancement Service of the Association of Construction Industry of Berlin – Brandenburg in a training center in Frankfurt on the Oder. Two teachers will take care of the students- 20 students from the 2nd class of basic vocational school – a small catering chef (cooks) and20 students from the 2nd class of basic vocational school – a hairdresser. The trainings for the cooks and the hairdressers have been organised thanks to cooperation with Sistema Turismo training center in Rimini in Italy. The practice sites will be local restaurants, hotels and hairdressing salons. Each group will be acompanied by two teachers. All foreign trainings will last for two weeks.The actionsPreparations for the mobilities include the organisation of a language preparatory course for the students ( focused mainly on professional vocabulary). and meetings related to exchanging information on history and traditions of a training country as well as organisation of trips and accomodation. The school will also organise information meetings for the participants and their parents concerning the trips, the foreign trainings and the accomodation.. The participants will be covered by additional insurance and provided with specific workwear. Monitoring of the undertaken activities will be done during all the project. Meetings of the participants and the other students, representatives of local authorities, local entrepreneurs , local labor office staff and the press will be organised after returning from the trainings. The main aim of these meetings wiil be to discuss the results of the project. The effects of the project will be spread by reporting to the teachers' council meetings, information on a school website and a Facebook profile, articles in the press. The students who will complete the training succesfully will be given certificates issued by our partners as well as Europass-Mobility documents. These documents will be a confirmation of professional skills gained by the participants. The project will be continued for 14 months from the 1 .09. 2016 until the 31.10. 2017.The expected resultsThe participants of the project will raise their professional knowledge in the fields of construction, cooking and hairdressing. They will be prepared better for their professional work. Taking part in the foreign trainings in German and English will result in broadening their foreign language communication skills Because of acquiring new professional and linguistic competences the results of vocational and school leaving exams gained by the students will definitely be higher. The participants will develop the attitudes of tolerance for other cultures. The teachers of vocational subjects who will take care of the participants during the trainings will exchange experiences with the German and Italian instructors. Thanks to it the learning proces and the quality of education in our school will be improved. The place of the school on the local educational market and its Europeanization will be strengthened The potential long-term benefits The students of ZSP in Kościan will be better motivated to learn a job and foreign languages which increases their chances in the labor market. The extension of school educational offer by undertaking the project will cause the increase of interest in junior high school students from our region in the possibility of continuing their education in technical and basic vocational school. The ZSP teachers will gain the experience related to the implementation of European projects and developing their team work skills.
