This is the first time our Secondary school is applying for the student Mobility project. The priority of our project “Mobilna Coppo” is for our students to experience a stay in Italy. As the only technical and vocational secondary school with the subject of Italian language, we are particularly interested in developing and strengthening the general and professional linguistic competences of our students. With this project we will also foster the co-operation of companies with the school, especially in Italy, through professional internships in order to develop professional and transversal skills. An additional problem of today's school is that we do not completely meet the needs of our local enterprises. In fact, they require competences that are unfortunately not easy to achieve at home, like the possibility to communicate in more foreign languages and to be acquainted and familiar with other forms of work, environments and culture. This mismatch between the educational system and the labour market is definitively a challenging issue. The main objectives of the project are:- to establish cooperation between school and companies abroad , thereby strengthening their relations , which contribute to a better recognition of schools ;-to improve the quality of education and promote the transfer of good practices from foreign professional environments,-to train and development of specific skills and competencies of profession to encourage teamwork,- to raise linguistic and cultural competence of students,- to acquire work esperience for Italian minority in italian language in italian cultural envioranment to strenghten the relationship between memebrs of teh italian minority in Slovenia and Italian citizens, - to upagrade the curriculum and improve the supply and quality of education and professional internships for shortage occupation.Students will acquire the following professional competences .For gastronomic-hotel services, the competences are:- preparing demanding dishes from a wider selection of food, - chosing and using separate facilities for the preparation of meals ,- economical and appropriate quantitative scaling dishes recipe for the preparation of alternative and diet dishes in order to prepare alternative recipes and diet dishes,- describing and presenting a written and a daily supply of certain meals and events in different languages nsio provided for in the curriculum,- giving advice on choosing and recommending different groups of food,- considering and evaluating the integration of Italian cuisine, offering authentic food and drinks. The professional competencies for program computer operator - computer techniques include: - obtaining competencies in the field of basic computer science, computer engineering, software engineering and information technologies;- being able to provide algorithmic thinking and planning of complex programs,- being capable of parsing and analyzing the set tasks/programs,- choosing the constituent components for the job,- being able to design and assembly the device. In addition to the acquired professional competencies, the students will also:- strengthen their accountability, independence, teamwork, respect for peers and mentors, colleagues- upgrade the intercultural dialogue,- strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem.20 students will be involved in the project. The students will be selected by specific criteria. Students can go abroad for 4 weeks (including a complementary preparatory period). They will be under the supervision of two teachers. The mobility will take place over the next two years, in two different periods (during the autumn and spring of each year). In order to organise the best professional experience for our students, we will work with an organisation in Milan that has many years’ experience of programming mobility for students. We will also focus our attention on assessing the mobility with the provided tools. The Europass will contain all information regarding the tasks completed by the students and the respectively gained skills. Moreover, the certificate ECVET, based on credit points, will further help the students in seeking a job, because it is a useful tool for the recognition of the qualifications achieved during the students’ training period in Italy. Every student who will successfully finish the practical training will get a training certificate. The report and all materials produced (including a video-spot) will be available for further use on the website of the school as well as in other media, also a brochure for Open days will be made, in order to provide further feedback as regards the final results and experiences of the students, in order to promote mobilities. The objective and competences of the planned training for profiles involved (gastronomic-hotel services, gastronomic technician, computer operator and computer technician) will be used to adapt curricula for real needs of our society.
