Mobilitet for lærlinger, lærekandidater og veiledere i KomOpp - 2016
Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

KomOpp`s adopted strategy-plan states that we are going to focus on internationalization, primarily through participation in Erasmus+. The labor-market and political focus areas in the Troms-region in Norway, causes an increase in the need for skilled workers with qualifications beyond what is included in a standard certificate of apprenticeship. The war in Syria has lead to a large increase in the number of refugees coming to Norway/Europe. By participating in Erasmus+ and getting international work practice in a foreign country, our apprentices will get a better understanding of and insight into what it means to be the person from a different culture. Through the project we wish to offer this possibility to apprentices, special needs apprentices/training candidates and supervisors, 92 participants in total. KomOpp wants to offer our apprentices, special needs apprentices/learning candidates and supervisors the possibility to increase their informal qualifications in the following areas: - cultural diversity- foreign language skills- vocational skills- personal skillsIn addition to this, we believe that participation in this project will contribute to life long learning for KomOpp`s employees, participants and collaborators. We will distribute the results from the project through several different meetings and seminars and through the Internet. In addition we would like to contribute to an increased political focus on internationalization with employees in public sector, through collaborators on the local and regional level, such as mayors, public administrators, regional politicians and the regional council of education. Through our engagement in the program and the disclosure of this to other relevant parties, we are influencing both the regional council (Troms Fylkeskommune) and the regional association of apprenticeship training offices (Karri). We are also contributing to an improved reputation for the vocational training programs. We are cooperating with partners in several different European countries, because we want to offer a wide range of options to all our different vocational programs, and together we can contribute to developing a common European identity.
