This consortium ERASMUS + for vocational training, MELYPROLOR 4 is in the wake of three previous consortium in the LEONARDO Program named MELYPROLOR 1, 2 and 3. It is promoted by the DAREIC ( Academic Delegation for European relations, and International Cooperation) and GIP ( Public Interest Group ) of the Academy of Nancy- Metz. One of the missions of the DAREIC is to promote European and international mobility of students of the academy, to encourage and support all European projects and since 2014, the new ERASMUS + Program . GIP is the promoter of the project: it provides administrative and financial aspects and DAREIC educational and management aspects. The consortium pursues the objectives and priorities of ERASMUS + for vocational training , which are allow a greater number of students to benefit an European quality mobility , foster cooperation of vocational education institutions with companies, mobility for educational staff , principals, work supervisors , teachers or inspectors. Students of technological and vocational schools are often a weakened public reluctant to mobility. Owing to European mobility , they will develop their professional skills in a different setting and gain independence, confidence, ability to adapt to new working methods and constraints , qualities that will facilitate their integration into the world of work , whether in France or in another European country. The possibility to integrate mobility of teaching staff in this project will provide better quality in the preparation , conduct and evaluation of the mobility of students by giving them the opportunity to learn about companies , develop a long-term partnership through direct contact during periods of observation, to take the expectations of each and negotiate the best training content . The project involves 12 schools of the academy, which 8 have already participated in one or other of the three previous projects, demonstrating the interest that these institutions have found in the opportunity to participate in a European consortium. It will send 153 students on work placement for a period of one month, 48 educational personnel for a period from 4 to 14 days. The entire project will be developed in consultation with host partners, some of whom are already involved in the previous projects MELYPROLOR. All sending institutions have either a partner institution in Europe, or one or more have already identified companies that will hosted students. The European partner institutions will be responsible for contacting the companies in their sector or region for the required training and could accommodate mobility. The DAREIC and GIP , with their experience of the three previous projects will follow up, coordinate, sharing of tools for its successful implementation , both from the point of view of financial and administrative management as the educational, cultural and linguistic preparation or evaluation. The DAREIC will propose a monitoring and continuous support to the institutions at all stages of the project. This fourth project is strengthening the academic dynamics in European opening, extending mobility to new types of public , by continuing partnerships with vocational training institutions and enterprises in Europe , increasing their skills and expertise in the European opening. It will allow young people who have developed new skills , but also language skills, to meet the special geographical situation of our academy : the one French region bordering three countries (Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany), which provide our students opportunities of employment, if they demonstrate professional skills and if they have already proven language skills in English or German.
