MOBILITATE PENTRU CALITATE
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

This current project – “Mobilitate pentru calitate/Mobility for quality- MOBILIQUAL” - is addressed to those who attend an initial training program, in the superior level of high school. It addresses students from the 11th grade, Technological area of study, Services profile, with a qualification as Technician in Economical Activities, the 3rd level, from the “Traian Vuia” Theoretical High-School in Făget, “Alexandru Borza” Technological Agricultural College in Geoagiu and “Sfântu Nicolae” Technological High-School in Deta. The foreign partner in the project is Escola Profissional de Montijo/Associação para a Formação Profissional e Desenvolvimento de Montijo from Potugal, an organization which has a rich experience in developing community programs , as host organization. The students are going to attend a 90 hours professional training program (15 working days x 6 hours per day), for Module VII “Payment Systems”, in three periods of time, each training period having three weeks: - Flow 1 – 30.11-20.12.2014, 20 students + 1 teacher - Flow 2 – 01.02-21.02.2015, 20 students + 1 teacher - Flow 3 – 26.04-16.05.2015, 20 students + 1 teacher In The European Community, the labour market is liberalized, and a large number of companies are multinational consortiums, conducting international business and operating with international payment systems. After the PEST and SWOT analyses were conducted in each school involved in the project, we identified similar situations and common needs which determined us to write the current application. In our high-schools the students are trained to obtain the third level of qualification as technicians in economical activities, the training being focused on a modern curriculum which is created in accordance with the requirements of the labour market. Nevertheless, the students from the partner high-schools in this project have a limited amount of time dedicated to specific training practice because there is a small number of economical agents in Faget, Geoagiu and Deta and the surrounding areas of these small towns and the economical units lack modern payment systems as well as, specially trained staff. An international exchange offers to the students the opportunity to complete the 90 hours’ training required by the curriculum for the Payment Systems Module in foreign companies and institutions that operate at European standards. During the three weeks’ period of training, the students will develop the professional skills and competences that would allow them to compete for better paid jobs and in the time it would grant their access to the European labour market. The entire European Community operates with modern payment systems, especially electronic ones, which allow a greater autonomy to the institutions, as well as to the economic agents. This also makes the production process as well as the activity far more efficient and it reduces considerably the amount of time spent making transactions and the money wasted on buying consumable goods. Similar modern payment systems and specialized software have also been introduced in Romania by the big companies and by important institutions and this is to become generalized. In order to be competitive in a labour market that is in perpetual change and development the students must be trained in accordance to the new standards required by this. The professional training in an European country- Portugal- which already uses these payment systems offers the participants the possibility to acquire knowledge, skills and competences which are absolutely necessary in order to ease the transition from school to professional life. The aim of this project is that all 60 participants would gain competences that are recognized nationally, so that these would become part of their qualification. The main objectives of this project are: O1: The acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences in the field of modern payment systems by means of training in foreign companies and institutions that already use and recognize these systems. O2: The development of competences relevant for the future labour activities: professional, intercultural and social communication. O3: The development of a long term partnership with national and international VET institutions that would facilitate the exchanges for educational purpose. The results we expect from this exchange project are: the acquisition and improvement of professional competences at an international level, the development of linguistic skills and abilities to communicate in English, the development of inter-cultural competences, the increasing of the chances to obtain better paid jobs (in Romania as well as in Europe), stimulating the competition spirit among students, the increasing of the good reputation of the high-schools locally and regionally, and the consolidation of the experience in managing and writing European projects.
