Project summary After 20 years active project work at the Ludwigsgymnasium Köthen we would like to use the possibility in Erasmus+ to make a two-year KA1 application for 35 individual measures in the scopes foreign languages English, French, Italian and Spanish, management, European educational systems, sciences and art, music and sport, vocational education and media design. That means, that 14% of our teachers will be involved in the project per year. According to the guideline for applicants the choice of the teachers was transparent and fair. It was, of course, recorded at our school. This two-year project has the aim that teachers have the chance of continuing education and can improve and update their knowledge. They learn more about modern methods and didactical forms, which will be very useful for a successful work. Pedagogical ruling principle of our school is the interdisciplinary exchange of art and science- SYNTOPIA. With the help of communication and interaction between these different subjects new horizons shall be opened by complementary forms of thinking and development. We will turn our attention to the implementation of scientific and technical elements into projects of art. We place the emphasis of our work on the education of young Europeans who can manage the requirements of the 21st century. So we try to support the development of intercultural competences with our work in the UNESCO- project. We place the emphasis on a multicultural education of our students who love peace and accept human rights and keep their eyes on the environmental problems. In the last 20 years the Sokrates/ Comenius work with our partners in England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal, Latvia, Turkey and Norway was very intensive and successful at our school. The higher demands of the applications for the Erasmus+ project , especially for the management, necessitate special training for responsible teachers ,that they are able to take part in international projects. Especially important is the using of eTwinning. It will make international cooperation more effective for the teaching process. Another aim is the qualification of teachers who are not language teachers. They should have the chance to attend course at international language schools for qualifying them to take part in international projects. The responsibilities of the school and of the project will control all the implementation of all tasks and the expense. The results of the project will be discussed and publicized in all partner countries.
