Mobilität und Internationalisierung im berufsbildenden Bereich
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Hans-Boeckler-School is a vocational school which trains ca. 1,500 students for the professions of a legal clerk, a legal secretary, a secretary of a patent attorney, a tax clerk, an administrative clerk and a real estate clerk. Our school has gathered a lot of experiences with EU-funded projects by coordinating two Comenius school partnerships. Furthermore, field excursions to London with two-day work placements took place during the last four years. Because of students’ very positive feedback regarding the two-day work placements, the Hans-Boeckler-School aims to install a fixed program which enables students to take part on longer work placements during their apprenticeship. The current project will support four-week work placements for 24 students. The structured training in an English-speaking European country is a part of a training for teachers to qualify for teaching English at vocational schools. Abroad the teacher has the opportunity to gain intercultural experiences, to improve the English language skills, and to get to know new methods and other aspects for English lessons. In the future the teacher can take care of international projects and can support the development of a language concept.
