Background: P. Boselli is a high school providing vocational (commerce and social work) and technical education in tourism. The majority of our students is living in difficult circumstances because of their social, economic,cultural background; a significant percentage is made up of disabled/disadvantaged students. objectives - improvement of professional comptences (knowledge, skills) of our students, - raise partecipants' motivation and self-esteem - inctrease the awareness of a European vocational training to understand the international and transnational dimension of labour market - enhance employability - increase entrepreneurship - increase intercultural awareness - understand labour market and its requests - develop a more active partecipation in society - improve learning competences - improve communicative and linguistic competences (English for SpecificPurposes) - increase motivation in taking part in training projects or work placements abroad - improve youth work methods and practices number and profile of partecipants: 6 students per year (12 in total) attending the fourth year in our vocational classes (commerce and social work) Partecipants will be selected according to the following competences/skills: - communicative skills in foreign language - school reports, especially considering the subjects involved in the mobility project - personal communicative skills - availability to face a working experience abroad - flexibility in working time - motivation in applying for the mobility project - develop partecipants' understanding of other cultures and countries - awarenes of the importance of foreign languages competence - motivation improving competence and skills - previous work experience abroad - certifications (foreign languages, sports...) - keen on travelling Description of activity: on line English course at school in Italy vocational training placement in a foreign country Methodology: to increase awareness and partecipation, before departure partecipants will attend courses about linguistic, psichological, communicative and professional topics in order to be ready to face a mobility experience. In preparatory meetings for both partecipants and parents all the useful information about the mobility project will be given. An Italian teacher in charge of the project will advise, support the students abroad Results/impact/long term benefits: - increased motivation and students' self-esteem; - reduced percentage in early school leaving; - increased capacity at EU/international level of the school; - awareness of the EU values in the European projects; - increase the sense of European citizenship and identity; - improve students' foreign language competences; - more attractive programmes for students; - reinforced cooperation with partner organisations; - increase opportunities for professional development through Europass mobility document, Europass language passport and an improved personal CV; - improved processes of recognition of competences gained during learning periods abroad - higher education level; - increasing of life long and cooperative education. Pubblicity: The increased and improved way of working achieved by the students through EU support will be: - acknowledged in Boselli POF (Piano dell’Offerta Formativa); - pointed out on the info days (at school or on special meetings and fairs) dedicated to “scuola media” students; - printed in Boselli information brochure to hand out to families and students on official meetings; - spread in school projects with “Io lavoro” and “Fondazione CRT”, organisations boasting a long time cooperation with our institute partecipants and parents all the useful information about the mobility project will be given. An Italian teacher in charge of the project will advise, support the students abroad.
