Our world of work and everyday life is always in progress and demands that everybody is willing to lifelong learning in order to be able to deal with the different needs of today's society. Our school wants to meet these demands with a very high quality of teaching and by offering modern and innovative lessons. We consider the constant development of linguistic competences and an extensive knowledge in all subjects as a high and worthwhile aim. Therefore it is necessary to establish this project at our school. Furthermore we want to meet the demands of the Thuringian curriculum claiming bilingual lessons in years 9 and 10 compulsory. We intent to prepare our pupils well for future challenges and want to offer them an excellent education. Being able to communicate a subject in a foreign language constitutes a key competence. For this reason the given project provides a suitable platform for pupils and teacher to reach our aims. The six participants of our project are particularly interested and committed colleagues. They will be able to realize the project because of their individual abilities and personal commitment. A successful participation in the courses abroad is based on agreements, consultations, practical exercises, instructions by experienced colleagues and the individual development of linguistic competence.
