Mobilisierung des Personals zur Einführung des Bilingualen Unterrichts
Start date: Jul 28, 2014, End date: Jul 27, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Within the bounds of being a so-called European Highschool the Albert-Schweitzer-School Hofgeismar wants to expand its bilingual teaching distinctly and therefore qualify non-proficient teachers for teaching foreign languages. That´s why first of all the chairwoman in the subject History will be sent to the 2-week-qualification CLIL so that she can then work effectively in our school as a kind of "multiplier". Thus we hope to be able to later work out a qualified bilingual curriculum in the subject of history for our school. On a middle-term basis our goal will be bilingual A-level exams in History as well as the distinct expansion of bilingual teaching starting from the socical sciences to a lot of further subjects. From the qualification we expect a clear acquisition of competence as to methodology and teaching method, so that the level of bilingual teaching can be lifted to the usual training qualification. We also pursue with it the approach of e-twinning as a means of communication with our foreign partner-schools. And we can also hope for a broader support of trips abroad which so far could only be organised by teachers of foreign languages.
