We see Europe as our opportunity. We, the Trave-Gymnasium, are a grammar school, which prepares its students for life. Our students often do not have an academic background and often have an immigration background. The Multicultural life and the English language are important qualifications for international understanding, a peaceful cooperation and their individual success. We want to make tolerance, approval of differences, enrichment through different cultures natural. Our students should have a better chance in life making their choices regarding study and work in the global world. To reach these arms, we have to improve our school-concept. We have already got two student-exchange-programmes with Poland and Sweden, intensive classes in foreign languages and Europe as a topic in class. Through this projectwe would like to intensify our student-exchange-programmes, to organize European teaching units together, for example using the e-twinning platform, and to insert bilingual components into teaching. We also want to combine all these elements to one European idea. Two motivated teachers participating in the programme should give us the impulse for our European development.
