Mobilisierung des Personals als Vorbereitung zur Verbesserung der Internationalisierung
Start date: Aug 2, 2014, End date: Aug 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

We support and contemplate a number of measures for internationalization and spread of the European idea. Our school’s profile shows that we have long and valuable experiences in shaping partnerships with European schools, bilingual subject teaching, continued arrangement and participation in national competitions such as Mathematical, Biology and Chemistry Olympiads as well as successful participation in international projects e.g. “Odyssey of the Mind” so early in March 2014 our school played host to the German finals in addition to that our students were very victorious so they took three first places and one second place. Keeping personal contacts as well as doing smaller projects in each other’s hometowns we enjoy shaping, organizing extending our exchange programmes with our partner schools in Luynes (France) and Mynämäki (Finland). We intend to use our newly established eTwinning platform to develop and intensify our cooperation. Getting to know further European countries, their citizens, culture, way of life, language etc. and also exchanging views with other European people has the effect to motivate our students while learning French and English, while working in bilingual projects based on our school’s curricula as well as while using new media. Our involved colleagues from the scientific and foreign language branches are taking part in two different in-service training courses abroad to develop their language and ICT skills as well as their skills in methodology and didactics not only for interdisciplinary ways of teaching but also to find potential partners for further future projects. Finally they will present their knowledge to their colleagues in bodies such as symposium, conference of coordinators and teachers. So they will spread their new knowledge and enthusiasm. If it is wished we intend to communicate further requirements to our continuation schools to enable them adapt their programmes. So for our work with the eTwinning network and our planning process for our interdisciplinary, for our European community relevant project work in foreign languages we need to be able to use different methods suitable for diverse groups of students. All in all, we expect that the learned lessons and gained experiences will make all our actions of internationalisation more motivating, multifaceted, multicultural and valuable and motivate both teachers and pupils.
