Being a "UNESCO Associated School" international projects and contacts are very important for us. Since English is an international means of communication we plan to improve foreign language learning by adapting our methods of language teaching and learning to the latest research and also to the implementation of modern technologies. Therefore we would like to send two colleagues to summer classes in Ireland. We would like to seek contact to English speaking partners since we have not been able to realize any projects in this field as part of our European relations so far. We hope these contacts and modernisations will result in an increase of motivation and language skills of our students. Hopefully, this will offer global perspectives for their future careers. Modern media presentation of projects and meetings should meet modern standards and should address a large audience. So in addition we would also like to have two teachers trained in the use of modern media for presentations. They should pass on their knowledge to colleagues and students alike. With these measures we also hope to increase students' motivation to use foreign languages and to take part in international programmes. By passing on their knowledge, the chosen teachers will make sure the whole (language) teaching department will profit which can benefit the students in many ways.
