MOBILEX - Mobility Programme for Experienced Resea.. (MOBILEX)
MOBILEX - Mobility Programme for Experienced Researchers
Start date: Mar 1, 2013,
End date: Feb 28, 2018
"The aim of MOBILEX - Mobility Programme for Experienced Researchers is to enhance experienced researcher mobility by establishing a new instrument for research mobility in the Danish Council for Independent Research. The MOBILEX programme will constitute a new avenue of international research mobility within the ERA and beyond which will not be competing for resources with other instruments of the Danish Council for Independent Research. The motivation for creating the MOBILEX programme is a growth in applications for international research projects which has resulted in very low success rates (< 10 % in 2011). In order to promote the MOBILEX programme, the Danish Council for Independent Research will contribute approx. € 16,700,000 during a programme period of 5 years. Under the programme, a total of 78 mobility grants will be awarded to experienced researchers, 45 for outgoing mobility and 33 for incoming mobility projects. A MOBILEX research grant has a duration of 24 months. Grants will be awarded in open, international competition on the basis of free, interest-driven and bottom-up project proposals from all scientific fields covered by the Danish Council for Independent Research. The selection of successful proposals will be carried out in a process comprising the following three steps: 1) international peer review of applications (minimum three reviews per application), 2) rebuttal to peer review from applicants and 3) final decision on the award of MOBILEX grants by the Danish Council for Independent Research. Unrestricted mobility of grant holders is a major ambition of the programme. Inorder to achieve this goal, outgoing as well as incoming grant holders will be issued employment contracts at Danish universities to ensure that all grant holders under the programme will be working under equal conditions according to Danish labour market and social security regulations."
