MOBI'VET

In the continuity of the Lisbon European Council in 2000 and the Copenhaguen Process in 2004, the ECVET system was adopted by the European Parliament and the Council on 18th June 2009. It was impulsed by the Europe 2020 strategy, which clarifies the European politic strategy in the field of education and training.MOBI’VET came within the scope of ECVET, European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training. After several years of reciprocity work on mobility projects, the education and training centers of five countries (Austria, France, Greece, Poland (replaced by Hungary) and United-Kingdom, had observed a need of recognition of this mobility in Europe. The ECVET system answers to this need. Indeed it aims to evaluate, to validate and to recognize an internship or training followed in a member state, within qualification training or not. Thus MOBI’VET made stronger the long years partnerships by increasing the added value of the mobility in reciprocity and by making official the cooperation between the partners. MOBI’VET experimented the ECVET system in the field of catering, created conditions to the experimentation and transferred the tools which already existed in order to test them. After that the MOBI’VET partners developed the practice of the ECVET system in the field of catering in Europe and promoted and extended the system to other professional sectors, to other actors and the other geographic areas.
