The project „Young Builders taking the internship in Germany” is a response to the need of preparation of young people for launching professional activity and connecting the vocational training with the needs of labour market in European countries. Participation in the project will enable the students, coming from poor and remote rural areas dealing with the problem of unemployment, to use mobility programmes and will strengthen their position on local and European labour market due to experience gained in building industry companies. The project is designed for students of Zespół Szkół Nr1 w Rzeszowie, training in the professions of building technician and sanitary appliances technician In the project, lasting two years, 32 students will take part. Two groups of 16 students, aged 16-18, chosen in the recruitment process applying bases of equality. Qualified students will undergo 4-week internships in building industry companies in Germany Our partner VFBQ Bad Freienwalde e. V is based in Germany ,deals with organizing development projects, organization of language courses, promoting and managing youth internships. The main objective of the project is to increase the employability of ZST students by improving the quality of educations and the level of key competence and skills with particular regard to their relevance for the labour market. Moreover, it is aimed at enhancing the cooperation between institutions of vocational training and improving the degree of transparency and recognition of competence gained within lifelong learning programmes. The project’s objective is also to level the educational opportunities and prevent the social exclusion by facilitating the access to improving linguistic qualifications, modern information technologies and mobility. The participation in the project will help young people to look from the different perspective on the process of learning and getting professional qualifications which will enable them to take up work. Before the departure participants will undergo language, cultural and pedagogical training. In preparation , students will participate in training of the cultural , linguistic and risk preventing activities. The cultural and linguistic program will be continued in Germany(language course, cultural meeting and tours). During the internships participants will become acquainted with the applying of procedures on different workstations and with work techniques applicable in different departments of building industry companies in Germany. The students of technical school will learn technical construction organization , execution and coordination of construction works. On the other hand sanitation technicians will become familiar with the construction and operation of municipal networks and installation of sanitary networks. In order to achieve goals we will carry out the project evaluation based on ECVET system and results of the project along with the project materials will be disseminated on the institutional, local and regional level. Improving professional qualifications project participants will complete language and computer courses, confirmed with certificates. Additionally, they will obtain Europass Mobility document which will present the skills and qualifications of the participants in a transparent and understandable way in entire Europe and will enable them to freely participate in European labour market. The project implementation will be an excellent promotion of the school amongst potential students and the promotion of project participants on the regional labour market. The internships will provide a new dimension in the quality of practical training and adapting the vocational training system to the needs of regional and EU labour market based on modern standards. Project participants will acquire additional qualifications and skills, they will get acquainted with different cultural and linguistic aspects of professional career which will influence the attitude of tolerance and openness towards intercultural differences, hence, it will eliminate stereotypes and prejudice. The participation in the project will improve students competence and professional experience, their social, linguistic and cross-cultural skills. Trainees will develop their basic interdisciplinary skills in the field of entrepreneurship, self-assessment, adaptability and the ability to work in an international team and therefore will be able to achieve transnational mobility. The mentioned skills will help the participants to counteract the social exclusion and to prevent the rise of unemployment on the regional level. They will allow the students to actively participate in not only national, but also in European labour market.
