Within the Young Leaders for a Successful Future Project a youth exchange will be held in the town of Smolyan, Bulgaria, from 25.08.2015 to 03.09.2015, involving 50 young people from Bulgaria and Romania. The exchange will include training sessions where, through various methods of informal training, young people will be able to enhance their oratorical, communicative, planning, motivational and other skills. Discussions will be held on topics related to what leadership involves and what the basic leadership skills and competencies, motivation, EU citizenship and the rights it confers are. The main purpose of the Young Leaders for Successful Future Project is by using informal training methods to enable a group of youngsters to develop and improve their abilities and competencies, which is to contribute to enhancing their skills and developing new know-how that is also directly connected to satisfying particular youth needs related to leadership and EU citizenship. The project will also be attended by youngster interested in leadership and EU citizenship, have leadership qualities and particular youth needs. They will obtain information and acquire additional experience, knowledge and skills; they will be actively involved in the project activities and will have their social activity increased so that they could actively participate in the decision making processes. The activities scheduled will enable the participants to develop a number of other merits, acquire new leadership skills and, getting to know themselves, discover their strong points and become able to see the global picture and build strategies to achieve their goals. The participants will develop key competencies like knowledge acquisition language, cultural, interpersonal and social skills. During the exchange various working methods will be used such as discussions, presentations, role-playing games, simulations, intercultural exchange and intercultural evenings, team work and informal training through cooperation. The exchange to be held and the established partnerships will add European dimension, the participants will be offered the opportunity, together with representatives of various foreign countries, to discover common values, thus encouraging youth cooperation and personal development.
