Младежки измерения на европейското кино
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Apr 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project aims to provide an excellent head start for every youngster, to inspire future actions, to teach teamwork, tolerance, and non discrimination , and in general to help them grow as a worthy person. The project will involve a total of six member states of the European Union. These are Bulgaria , Italy , Lithuania, Hungary, Spain, and Latvia. Each of these countries will arrive in Bulgaria with seven members including 6 participants and a leader - mentor. All participants will be familiar with the goals and essence of the project in advance and are expected to come here highly motivated and ready to show their artistic talents that got them selected to participate in the exchange - "Youth dimensions of European Cinema ." The picturesque village Lesidren and in particular "Cinema Residence Lesideren" will host the event . The exchange will take place on a preliminary schedule and will be carried out in the span of 10 days, two of which will pass in arrival, accommodation, and departure, as well as administrative and organizational matters. The carefully crafted daily schedule for the youngsters includes activities such as: getting to know and learning about the natural attractions of Bulgaria by visiting the recently popular Krushunski waterfalls and the mysterious Devetashka cave near Lovech. Participants will meet with many experts in the field of tourism and film art, who will teach them about important facts and events from Bulgaria and the cinema industry in general. Every day is allocated so as to stimulate initiative, creativity , improvisation and social skills of young people. Each day a different delegation will be lecturing about a separate element of film making - directing, cinematography , acting, stage performance , editing. The main objective of the exchange is to prepare a youth film project entitled "Integrated , united and happy." To achieve this, six teams will be formed, each one with 6 participants and a mentor. The teams will include one participant from a delegation , i.e. the team will be multicultural. The interesting thing here is how each team will present a draft on the above topic , as it should combine into one the views and ways of thinking of a diverse group of people. The six films will be screened at the local cinema "Cinema Residence Lesideren" to the people of the local government and population. The project aims to achieve unity and overcome cultural differences between European countries. The youngsters will acquire materials for the future film from the places they visit every day, the lectures they listen to, the games they participate in, the discussions they have with each other, the tasks that are assigned to them, and last but not least the friendships they build in the meantime. There will be no restrictions regarding the specific scenarios of the film projects. The film should be short and should cover the perspectives of all team members on the given topic . All films will be made available on DVD and will include English and Bulgarian subtitles. With this we hope to reach and inspire a wider range of people , not only locally but also internationally . For each of the particpants an exchange like this is a valuable experience after which they have made contacts with people from other countries, useful for their future career development. Young people become more confident, organized and with - a clear idea of their future plans.
