The project "MISSÃO SVE: BIO, JUSTA E LOCAL” will be a Learning Mobility activity for a group of individuals (European Voluntary Service - EVS) involving 5 volunteers from Finland, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Poland which will start at 5th February 2015 and end at 3rd February 2016 (12 months). The EVS project´s theme is Media and communications/Youth information and Development Cooperation awareness (with focus on Fair Trade). The main objective is to support Equação´s activities (communication and support to Fair Trade Shops and also EVS and Erasmus+ YA awareness in schools and other events organized by the volunteers). The EVS Activity will take place in Amarante, where Equação, Crl has it's headquarter and store/shop and will have as range of action the North of Portugal, mainly the cities where are located it's local members (Amarante, Porto, Braga e Guimarães). To reach the proposed objectives we will use different methodologies of Non Formal Education (NFE) such as brainstorming, group dinamics, energizers, workshops, creative cooking, simulations and role plays, visits, work in small groups, presentations and round tables, etc..In the first phase the EVS volunteers will receive training (portuguese language and culture, activity´s theme, etc.). After this integration period the EVS volunteers will develop the following activities:- Support the headquarters and store/Fair Trade shops;- Manage Equação, Crl and its local members' ICT tools;- Elaborate applications and support ongoing projects;- Support the launching campaign "Amarante fair trade town" (BIO, FAIR and LOCAL), organize and participate in awareness sessions at schools, NGO's, enterprises, etc.. and support local producers (organic, biodynamic and permaculture) and organize/improve the weekly market BIO, JUSTA E LOCAL.;- Support and organize cultural events (creative cooking, Films/debates, etc.);- Support pontually Equação, Crl local members (AMC, Reviravolta, Alternativa and Cor de Tangerina);- Promote EVS and Fair Trade in schools and other events (in Casa da Juventude de Amarante, etc.).The EVS volunteers might also be pontually involved in local volunteer activities at some institutions with whom Equação, Crl and its members have close connections and will be stimulated from the beginning to start thinking and defining their personal development project. The EVS volunteers will learn by their own experiences in direct contact with other youngsters and Equação, Crl's target-groups. This will be a very important moment of learning, personal growth and an opportunity to open their horizons and enrich their knowledge. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to develop their autonomy, communication skills and social interaction. This EVS project intends to create a great impact both to volunteers and host organization, and by that, to the entire community. The regular presence of foreign volunteers in projects that stand for values and promote solidarity brings added value and positive awareness about their (volunteers and youth in general) role in society. For Equação, Crl this project allows to multiply its action in the territory, giving the chance for alternative approaches to consumption and life to reach new people/publics, starting by the volunteers themselves.
